The Humble Abode was the name of our high school band. We basically made fun of people and played the songs on our radio shows. Some songs were catchy, we did a cover of Dead Puppies and had a pretty good original song called Bambi. Marc basically played guitar the only other instrument was the occasional preprogrammed keyboard song.
We preformed several times on the air, but only once live in front of an audience.
We had all in all maybe 30 songs, the majority of which were improved on the spot.
In 1998, as a joke I started writing a short script for what would happen if somehow we became famous, what would people think, what would happen when someone tried to analyze our improved songs?
Over the next 2 years more and more was added to it untill it became the Humbel Abode movie. I shopped it around a few times, I thought it was good. But no one bought it.
It sat on my shelf for about 4 years, then in 2004 I rewrote it as Introducing the Humble Abode, updating a lot of the jokes and making it more of a satire of the mid 90's and the boy band craze.
I made several attempt to make a animated version on my own but the overall cost and time was too much for one person.
Discovering goanimate.com I made a 30 demo to see how well the script translates to animation and it seems to work well.
